A Spectacular Stage and Production
I must say, the stage was stunning, and I loved the entire broadcast. The screens were vibrant, with great scenery, and I haven’t been this excited about a Miss Venezuela show in years. They scored a perfect 10 in lighting, stage design, and production. The only minor thing that bothered me was the occasional distant shots of the cameras. But it didn’t diminish the overall quality of the event.
Opening Performances: A Blend of Talent and Tradition
Ileana looked fantastic in her gorgeous blue outfit and showcased her talent both as a singer and a dancer. Sakra also looked great, and the opening was well-executed. The only downside was the dancers’ costumes, which seemed a bit too basic. Despite that, I applaud the dancers for their professionalism in the art of dance. The music had a traditional vibe, but it didn’t blow me away, and the costumes and choreography seemed mismatched.
A Stunning Display of Culture and Elegance
The part that truly energized me was when the beautiful queens entered the stage in their white dresses, following a folk-style theme that reflected the country’s culture. The event stayed true to the essence of Miss Venezuela from previous years, and I loved that.
Elegant Gowns and a Perfect Choreography
The production kept its musical excellence, and when the current queens sang the Miss Venezuela anthem, it was spectacular as usual. The dresses were gorgeous, and they all looked divine, as always. I was thoroughly satisfied with the choreography, which was elegant and subtle—just the way I love it.
The Hosts and Special Moments
Maite Delgado made an unforgettable entrance, as only she can. She is a true beauty, and her talent as a host never goes unnoticed. She’s timeless, and we adore her. Ileana Márquez’s final dress, which resembled a Knight of the Zodiac gown, was stunning. She looked amazing in it.
The Top 10: Who Made It to the Semifinals?
The moment of the night arrived: the presentation of the contestants. This took me straight to Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador. The view of the stage was fantastic, and we enjoyed watching these stunning women, especially Amazonas, Apure, Aragua, Bolívar, Carabobo, Distrito Capital, Falcón, Mérida, Miranda, Nueva Esparta, and Sucre. These ladies captured my attention in their presentations, though some were unexpected exclusions.
A Surprising Top 10
Let’s talk about the Top 10 semifinalists. First, Anzoátegui made it into the Top 10 as expected, and Falcón was also a great choice. I loved Miranda and didn’t expect Táchira to make it, but she did. Amazonas was a clear standout, while Sucre’s exclusion surprised me. The night moved on with the evening gown segment, where I absolutely adored the orchestra’s performance, bringing a classy Sinatra-like vibe to the stage.
Evening Gowns: A Night of Glamour
As for the evening gowns, Amazonas looked stunning in her dress, with an elegant walk, while Anzoátegui was graceful as well. Distrito Capital’s gown was imposing, while Miranda and Nueva Esparta were also outstanding in their dresses. Sucre’s gown was eye-catching, and Táchira’s gown, though beautiful, didn’t seem to match the others in terms of impact.
The Final Question Round
The final round of questions was crucial in determining the winner. Amazonas answered with great maturity, while Distrito Capital delivered a perfect response despite a confusing question. Miranda also displayed significant depth in her answer, though her approach was somewhat basic. It was an interesting round, but at times the answers felt like the usual ones we hear in beauty pageants.
Special Awards
Several special awards were handed out during the night. Táchira was recognized as Miss Friendship, Amazonas earned the title of Miss Photogenic, and Yaracuy took home the Miss Elegance award. These awards showcased the diverse qualities of the contestants beyond just physical beauty.
The Grand Coronation
The night culminated with the coronation of Miss Universe Venezuela 2024: Anzoátegui. While she is a beautiful and well-prepared young woman, we must admit that her personality didn’t leave us completely convinced. Her stage presence lacked the commanding energy we expected, but as we all know, beauty pageants can be full of surprises.
Anzoátegui might not be our favorite for Miss Universe 2025, and though she holds great potential, her somewhat cold personality and lack of stage “spark” make me hesitant. Nonetheless, we wish her the best, and we hope that over time she can prove me wrong.

While not everything was flawless, Anzoátegui’s coronation represents a turning point for the Venezuelan pageant.
