We are excited to share spectacular news about the world’s most prestigious beauty pageant. The 73rd edition of Miss Universe will take place on Saturday, November 16, 2024, and the venue will be none other than the vibrant City of Mexico.
It’s Official!
After several rumors, the Miss Universe organization has officially confirmed that the event will be held on the mentioned date. It was Raúl Rocha, one of the new owners of the pageant, who revealed the news during an interview with Telemundo. The president of the pageant, Anny Hcap Hruta, has also confirmed the participation of approximately 130 countries, setting a historic record in the number of contestants since the pageant’s inception in 1952.
This Year’s Debuts
This year, we will see the debut of 12 nations in Miss Universe, including Belarus, Saudi Arabia, Macau, North Macedonia, Moldova, Persia, Uzbekistan, Mayotte, Maldives, and Guinea. Additionally, 34 countries will return to the competition, such as Bangladesh, Cuba, Gibraltar, New Zealand, Suriname, Guadeloupe, Montenegro, and many more. Although no country has announced its withdrawal so far, Nicaragua has not yet confirmed its participation due to the political situation in the country.
Where to Watch Miss Universe?
The event will be broadcast live on Telemundo and will start at 7:00 PM local time in Mexico. Here are the times for other regions:
- 7:00 PM (Mexico City): Honduras, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador
- 8:00 PM (Mexico City): Peru, Ecuador, Panama, Colombia
- 9:00 PM (Mexico City): Venezuela, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Bolivia, Dominican Republic
- 10:00 PM (Mexico City): Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay
In the United States:
- 6:00 PM PT: Pacific Time (PT)
- 7:00 PM MT: Mountain Time (MT)
- 8:00 PM CT: Central Time (CT)
- 9:00 PM ET: Eastern Time (ET) — including Miami
